MANUFACTURING

At JKM luxury western furniture, each piece is handmade. The process of manufacturing goes though a four step process to insure each piece will become a treasure, built to last for generations.

CONSTRUCTION

Based on the item to be built, the designer and production manager will take control of your project and after carefully reviewing the design; your furniture order will start going through the four step process. Once the assembly has been done, the item is hand sanded to a flawless finish for preparation of our in-house stain color mixes. To obtain the proper color or staining, usually 4-5 different colors are used before the final finish.

BLACKSMITH

Then our blacksmith will make the hardware for each piece, paying special attention to the design. Our hardware is very important part of our furniture thats what makes it one of a kind and unique.

FINISHING

The finishing group will apply several lasting treatments to protect the furniture from damaging elements. These products are all imported from Europe and have been used for generations in the manufacture of fine furniture.

WE DO NOT USED CNC MACHINES IS ALL HANDMADE WITH SOLID TIMBER WOOD, WHAT IS CNC ROUTING?

CNC stands for Computer Numerically Controlled. CNC Routing is highly accurate and is similar to hand routing. However, CNC Routers are much larger and more powerful. Using this equipment provides the highest level of accuracy and precision, as well as the ability to produce a large volume of components quickly.

CNC routing machines work by translating programmed instructions into a precision motion along the path specified. The equipment uses a tool to machine that path to produce the desired profile. This allows a programmer who is not a carpenter to write a program furniture design. Once created, that program can be run at anytime to produce the identical parts that will fit exactly as well as those made the first time.

This are the popular materials that manufacturers used for their CNC Machines:

  • Acrylic/Plastics
  • Aluminum
  • Composites/Laminated Combinations
  • Foam
  • Hardboard
  • Hardwood
  • Laminates
  • MDF
  • OSB
  • Particle Board
  • Plywood
  • Sintra
  • Softwood
  • Solid Surface Material
  • And More...

WHY MANUFACTURERS USED CNC MACHINES?

No need to invest in capital equipment and/or skilled personnel
Reduce overhead costs and increase profit margins
Maintain a stable part cost with less variable and mixed costs
Decrease turnaround time and decrease time to market
Free up personnel to focus on production
Increase product flexibility for changing markets
